We’re BDO. An accountancy and business advisory firm, providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organisations need to navigate today’s changing world.

We work with the companies that are Britain’s economic engine – ambitious, entrepreneurially-spirited and high‑growth businesses that fuel the economy - and directly advise the owners and management teams that lead them.

We’ll broaden your horizons

Our greatest asset is our people, so our HR team focus on ensuring we are all reaching our potential. They use their specialist expertise to help us attract great talent, enable our employees to succeed and inspire a unified culture of development across our firm. By playing a role in the recruitment and management of our people, they help change lives and influence the future of BDO. Join a driven and passionate team where you can be yourself, while also helping your colleagues to achieve their ambitions.

We’ll help you succeed

Leading organisations trust us because of the quality of our advice. That quality grows from a thorough understanding of their business, and that understanding comes from working closely with them and building long-lasting relationships.

You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

This role sits within the Global Mobility & Immigration team and reports to the Global Mobility & Immigration Senior Manager. It is responsible for overseeing UK immigration processes, international secondments and permanent hires, ensuring all activity is compliant with BDO policies and legal requirements. Alongside managing operational delivery, the role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in immigration, global mobility and employment compliance.

A significant part of the role involves acting as the main point of contact for employees, prospective hires, HR teams and business stakeholders on UK immigration and international mobility matters. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on immigration requirements, manage visa applications and renewals from start to finish and ensure compliance with UKVI regulations and sponsorship obligations. They will also monitor visa expiry dates, assess role eligibility for sponsorship, review immigration permissions for new hires and oversee the accuracy of immigration data and reporting systems to maintain audit readiness.

The role also plays an important part in shaping and improving the firm's Global Mobility and Immigration function. Working closely with the Senior Manager, the individual will support the development and implementation of strategy, policies and processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance and the employee experience. They will analyse compliance data, produce management reports, manage risks and provide subject matter expertise on complex immigration cases and queries.

Strong collaboration skills are essential as the role works closely with Talent Acquisition, HR, Reward, Payroll, Tax teams, hiring managers and external immigration advisers. The successful candidate will support international assignments and remote working requests, maintain sponsor licence compliance and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will also lead regular case review meetings, facilitate discussions on policy developments and contribute to wider HR and Global Mobility projects.

From a communication perspective, the role requires managing relationships with immigration providers, reviewing sponsorship documentation and providing clear, practical advice to stakeholders at all levels, including Partners and business leaders. The individual will maintain accurate records, provide regular updates and reporting and proactively escalate compliance risks or process issues when required.

The position also focuses on continuous learning and development. Responsibilities include creating guidance materials and training resources, monitoring changes in immigration legislation and policy and sharing knowledge across HR and the wider business. The successful candidate will contribute to projects that enhance operational effectiveness and service delivery while maintaining up-to-date technical expertise in UK immigration and global mobility.

You’ll be someone with:

- Significant experience managing UK immigration matters, including sponsored visa routes, sponsor licence compliance, right-to-work requirements and UKVI regulations.
- Previous experience in a Global Mobility, Immigration or international HR role, ideally within a large, complex or professional services environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic advice and influence at all levels.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and compliance-focused approach.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
