About Our Family
We are a busy, high-energy, military-connected family with three school-aged children and two cats. One parent is an entrepreneur and works primarily from home, while the other serves in the U.S. Navy.
Our days have many moving parts, and we rely on systems, checklists, and technology to keep everything organized and running smoothly. We are looking for a dependable Housekeeper and Family Assistant who enjoys being hands-on, takes genuine pride in keeping spaces clean, and can help our family stay on top of everyday responsibilities.
Our greatest priority is finding someone who takes ownership of our household's daily needs, notices what needs to be done, and follows through without requiring constant direction.
Cleanliness is central to this position. We need someone who is comfortable with the practical, sometimes messy realities of a busy household with children and pets. Whether that means thoroughly cleaning a kitchen after meal preparation, managing laundry from start to finish, or addressing an unexpected mess, we value someone who takes initiative and gets the job done.
At the same time, this role extends beyond traditional housekeeping. You will help support our children's morning routines, maintain household systems, manage inventory, run errands, and assist with special projects.
In addition to our family home, we operate a growing furnished rental business with multiple properties in Southern Maryland, all located within a short drive of our home.
For the right candidate who demonstrates strong attention to detail, cleaning skills, reliability, initiative, and the ability to take on expanded responsibilities, we see a genuine opportunity for this role to grow into a full-time position. Additional work may include rental property turnovers, property quality control, restocking, and other hands-on business operations.
We are looking for a long-term partnership with someone who can grow alongside our family and business.
We are a military-connected family and have a deep appreciation for others with similar backgrounds. We welcome candidates who may have employment gaps related to military family life and value demonstrated capability, reliability, and initiative over formal education or a particular career path.

- Support children with getting dressed, locating school uniforms, preparing lunches, gathering belongings, and completing their responsibilities.
