Fitch Group is currently seeking a Data Products & Onboarding Product Owner, based out of our New York office.

Reporting to: Data Tools & Capabilities Product Leader, Fitch Data Marketplace

Fitch’s Chief Data Office (CDO) leads the firm’s enterprise data strategy. Central to it is Fitch’s Data Marketplace - the platform through which employees find, understand and use governed data across business workflows, analytics and AI.

The Data Tools & Capabilities product domain is responsible for defining and evolving the shared technology capabilities that power the Marketplace and broader enterprise data ecosystem.

The Data Tools & Capabilities Product Owner will own an assigned portfolio of Marketplace technology capabilities, partnering with business stakeholders and engineering teams to define product strategy, roadmap, priorities, and successful delivery. The role is accountable for ensuring assigned capabilities are scalable, secure, reusable, operationally resilient, and deliver measurable value across the enterprise.

What We Offer:

- Shape enterprise-scale technology capabilities supporting Fitch's Data Marketplace

- Own products that enable governed data products, analytics, self-service, and AI

- Partner with senior engineering, architecture, governance, and business leaders

We’ll Count on You To:

Own Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Execute against the roadmap and lifecycle plan for assigned technology capabilities, in close partnership with the Product Leader

- Translate business and technical needs into clear product priorities.

- Own and groom product backlogs and prioritization across multiple engineering teams making the hard trade-off calls to keep delivery moving

- Establish success measures and relentlessly drive toward outcomes, not just outputs

Lead Delivery

- Lead cross-functional delivery pods responsible for assigned capabilities.

- Partner closely with engineering leads to deliver high-quality capabilities using AI DLC.

- Balance business priorities, technical dependencies, operational risk, and engineering capacity.

- Drive delivery commitments and planning, pushing through blockers, ambiguity, and competing priorities to get things done

Own Enterprise Technology Capabilities such as:

- Core Marketplace platform services

- Self-service capabilities

- Express APIs

- Data Lab

- Platform observability

- Operational tooling

- AI-enabling platform capabilities

Drive Operational Excellence

- Own operational readiness and lifecycle management for assigned capabilities.

- Monitor adoption, service health, platform performance, and user feedback.

- Prioritize enhancements that improve scalability, resilience, usability, and operational efficiency.

- Partner with engineering on incident management and continuous improvement.

Collaborate Across the Enterprise

- Partner with Data Products & Onboarding to accelerate onboarding and operationalization of data products through better onboarding tools.

- Partner with Data User Experience & Intelligence to ensure technology capabilities enable intuitive user experiences.

- Partner with Product Operations on planning, release readiness, communications, adoption, and operational reporting.

- Partner with Data Governance, CISO, SRE and Emerging Technology to ensure capabilities comply with enterprise data, technology and AI governance and standards, and information security policies.

What You Need to Have:

- 10+ years of experience across product management, enterprise platforms, cloud technologies, or related disciplines.

- A strong bias toward execution, comfortable operating within a defined strategy and roadmap

- Outcome-focused mindset: judged by what gets shipped and adopted, not just what gets planned

- Demonstrated grit and perseverance, a track record of pushing initiatives through organizational friction, shifting priorities, and technical complexity to the finish line

- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, virtualization/federation, self-service architectures, modern data platforms and AI.

- Experience working with technologies such as AWS, Starburst/Trino, Snowflake, Spark, Databricks, Kafka, or similar technologies.

- Strong stakeholder management across engineering, architecture, governance, and business teams.

- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable technology capabilities.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

- Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industry.

- Experience leading enterprise platform products.

- Experience building reusable self-service capabilities.

- Experience supporting AI platforms, semantic technologies, MCPs, or agentic architectures.

- Experience with enterprise data marketplaces or internal developer platforms.
