We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology department . In this role, you'll work alongside experienced veterinary oncologists and a talented team of veterinary professionals to provide advanced treatment, personalized care, and support for pets battling cancer. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including handling, restraint, and medication administration
- Collect and record patient history and vital signs
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for procedures
- Monitor and document patient progress during and after treatment
- Perform routine diagnostic procedures, such as blood work, cytology, and radiology
- Administer treatments, including chemotherapy, under the guidance of veterinarians
- Assist with specialized procedures like ultrasound, biopsy, and CT scans
- Monitor patients during anesthesia and post-anesthesia recovery
- Provide support and education to pet owners facing a cancer diagnosis
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred
