Job Summary:

The Senior Technical Architect ensures CSA Group’s enterprise systems, services, and technology solutions are designed, built, implemented, and maintained for high availability, scalability, security, integrity, and supportability. The role owns the solution architecture for CSA Group’s OutSystems low-code platform and Microsoft Azure cloud estate, identifies gaps in critical systems and services, and drives solutions to close them. This is a hands-on architecture role: the Senior Technical Architect is expected to prototype, build reference implementations, and work at the code and configuration level, not only produce documentation. The Senior Technical Architect brings advanced technical knowledge and a broad understanding of new and emerging IT technologies, and provides recommendations on technologies and solutions that support business direction, whether to drive revenue growth, meet profitability targets, improve operational efficiency, or manage risk.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise systems, with primary focus on OutSystems (O11 and ODC) and Microsoft Azure
- Design solutions for high availability, scalability, security, integrity, and supportability, and set architecture standards, patterns, and governance for the platform
- Remain hands-on: build proofs of concept and reference implementations, perform code-level design reviews, and resolve the hardest technical problems alongside development teams
- Lead architecture for Azure services including App Services, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, Entra ID, Key Vault, networking, Azure DevOps CI/CD, and Azure AI Foundry
- Oversee OutSystems platform architecture, including application design, integration patterns, performance, lifecycle management, and ODC adoption
- Identify gaps and risks in critical systems, services, and integrations, and drive remediation and modernization roadmaps
- Evaluate new and emerging technologies and provide recommendations aligned to business goals for growth, profitability, efficiency, and risk management
- Provide technical leadership and design review to development teams, vendors, and system integrators
- Partner with business stakeholders, IT leadership, security, and infrastructure teams to align solutions with enterprise strategy and compliance requirements

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in a solution or technical architecture role, with sustained hands-on development experience; candidates should expect a practical technical assessment as part of selection
- Hands-on expertise with OutSystems, including platform administration, architecture, and integration; OutSystems architecture certification is an asset
- Strong hands-on expertise designing and delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure; Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is an asset
- Experience with integration platforms, APIs, and enterprise data (for example MuleSoft, REST, event-driven architecture) and with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- Experience in a global, multi-division organization and in regulated or TIC industry environments is an asset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present architecture decisions to technical and executive audiences

The typical hiring range for this position is $100,890–$132,416 CAD gross annually. The actual base pay offered will depend on factors such as education, licenses, certifications and experience. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
