Job Summary:

The IT Manager is a hands-on technical leader who leads and supports CSA Group’s enterprise systems and technologies, supporting current and future organizational needs across CSA Group and its divisions worldwide. The role covers planning and design, development and testing, implementation, and user support, with results delivered through project work, continuous improvement, and production support. This is a player-coach role: in addition to managing delivery and people, the IT Manager remains directly engaged in solution design, development, and technical problem-solving on CSA Group’s OutSystems low-code platform and Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The IT Manager acts as the primary technical and functional expert, delivers systems of strategic importance involving leading-edge technologies and diverse stakeholders, and maintains relationships with external providers to ensure CSA Group can leverage technology advancements. The objective is to ensure enterprise IT services support all business capabilities and that information is always available, accurate, complete, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise systems and technology solutions, with primary focus on the OutSystems platform (O11 and ODC) and Microsoft Azure
- Stay hands-on: contribute directly to solution design, development, and troubleshooting, and lead technical design and code reviews for the team
- Manage project delivery, continuous improvement initiatives, and production support for assigned systems
- Act as the primary technical and functional expert, providing solution design and architectural guidance
- Oversee the health, performance, security, and lifecycle of Azure-hosted services and OutSystems applications in production
- Build, coach, and technically assess a high-performing team of developers; set engineering standards and raise the technical bar in hiring
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and external technology and service providers
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and data integrity requirements

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including technical leadership or IT management, with recent hands-on development or solution design experience (this is not a purely managerial role)
- Hands-on experience delivering and supporting applications on the OutSystems low-code platform (O11 and/or ODC); OutSystems certification is an asset
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (for example App Services, Azure SQL, Entra ID, Key Vault, Azure DevOps); Azure certification is an asset
- Experience delivering and supporting enterprise platforms such as CRM, integration, cloud, and data platforms
- Experience managing vendors and working with global, cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

The typical hiring range for this position is $100,890–$132,416 CAD gross annually. The actual base pay offered will depend on factors such as education, licenses, certifications and experience. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
