CNC Lathe Operator
Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour (Starting pay depending on experience)
Location : Spring, TX 77379
Work Schedule: 40 Hours per week + Monday - Thursday: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Includes a 30-minute lunch break) Fridays: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Noon) - Overtime hours scheduled on an as-needed basis
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator . In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a 2-axis CNC lathe to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, a strong understanding of Fanuc controls, and proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
This is a full-time, 40-hour work week position featuring an appealing 4-day regular schedule, with potential for overtime on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate a 2-axis CNC lathe machine. Utilize Fanuc controls to safely manage machine operations. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure part quality. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications. Measure and inspect finished workpieces to ensure tight tolerances are met. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications and Skills: Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience operating CNC lathe machines. Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls. Equipment: Proven ability to accurately read micrometers and dial calipers. Basic Math: Solid understanding of basic shop math and blueprints. Attributes: High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and punctual attendance. Physical Demand: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
