Job Description:

Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting machinery, welding, fabricating, and keeping equipment running at peak performance?

Greif is looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician II to join our team! If you have strong mechanical and electrical skills, enjoy tackling challenges, and take pride in keeping production moving, this could be the opportunity for YOU!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform welding, machining, and fabrication to repair or replace equipment components.
- Diagnose and repair balers and other industrial machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, equipment manuals, and work orders.
- Identify equipment issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–2 years of industrial maintenance or related experience.
- Welding, machining, and fabrication experience is REQUIRED!
- Basic troubleshooting and repair experience with industrial balers.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated industrial systems.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A safety-first mindset and willingness to work as part of a team.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $19.23 - $30.77annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between28.00 to30.00. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
