About this role
Job Title: Project Manager Space Data and Insights Engagement Job Description This contract Project Manager role focuses on space data, floor-plan governance, and workplace insights for a fast-paced technology environment in the Mission Bay area of San Francisco. You will act as a strategic bridge between workplace operations, vendor management, process improvement, and emerging technology, overseeing space data integrity, managing a small remote team, and coordinating multiple concurrent projects. The position follows a hybrid schedule with onsite work up to three days per week and requires strong client-facing skills, technical literacy in CAD and SQL, and experience with CAFM/IWMS platforms. Responsibilities
- Lead floor-plan governance and act as the quality-control layer over floor-plan publications, reviewing and approving each plan through pre-publication checks and post-launch validations.
- Manage vendor and update coordination by overseeing drawing validation intake, version control, and issuing clear revision instructions to third-party drawing publishers.
- Own, maintain, and continuously improve the CAFM/floor-plan process playbook, defining guidelines for ownership, approvals, publications, rollbacks, and escalation paths.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date floor, desk, room, and neighborhood data, promptly reflecting portfolio changes by modifying space and organizational data in the database.
- Apply space-categorization principles and standards such as BOMA and OSCRE to interpret floor plans and ensure data categorization aligns with established spatial standards.
- Establish a schedule and perform routine space and data quality audits to proactively identify and resolve data integrity discrepancies.
- Serve as a stakeholder bridge by collaborating closely with occupancy planning teams to track requests, manage project handoffs, and report outcomes, risks, and deadlines.
- Manage relationships with IWMS vendors and design teams to ensure timely data corrections and accurate space information.
- Build and foster trust with cross-functional internal and external partners, including facilities, project management, design, technology, and process innovation teams.
- Proactively explore, propose, and implement automation, API integrations, and emerging AI tools to improve database efficiency, reduce manual entry, and accelerate drawing turnaround times.
- Analyze existing space data processes to identify opportunities for structural and operational improvements, and implement enhancements that streamline workflows.
- Manage and coordinate a small remote team, overseeing up to four deliverables at a time while ensuring quality control, clear communication, and timely follow-through with vendors.
- Handle roughly six to ten concurrent projects at varying stages, including intake, data audits, process creation, and improvement initiatives.
- Allocate time effectively across responsibilities, focusing primarily on quality control and vendor follow-through, process creation and improvement, and client coordination.
- Provide client-facing, high-touch service, maintaining professional communication and managing expectations with diverse, high-performing stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- 57 years of professional experience working with SQL and CAD tools, ideally within data architecture or space data environments.
- At least 5 years of experience managing CAFM/IWMS database systems such as OfficeSpace, FM:Systems, TRIRIGA, Manhattan, or Centerstone.
- Proficiency in SQL and CAD software, with the ability to work confidently in data and drawing environments.
- Strong literacy in reading and interpreting floor plans, construction documents, and CAD standards.
- Deep familiarity with office space measurement and categorization standards, including BOMA and OSCRE.
- Proven experience delivering client-facing, high-touch or white-glove service with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a remote team and coordinate multiple deliverables across several concurrent projects.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and consultative communication skills, including the ability to manage expectations with diverse technical stakeholders.
- High comfort level with emerging AI, automation, spatial data APIs, and next-generation space management technologies.
- Ability to work independently in an extremely fast-paced, rapidly shifting environment with limited direction.
- Capability to work a hybrid schedule with onsite presence in the Mission Bay area of San Francisco.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, Real Estate, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in data architecture or experience working with large technology companies.
- Experience with architecture, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Experience managing audits and quality-control processes for space data or technical documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across facilities, project management, design, technology, and process innovation teams.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for adopting new tools and methodologies in space management and workplace data.
- Comfort handling 610 projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will work in a fast-paced, agile technology environment that emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
