Trueline is seeking a Senior Estimator / Project Manager with experience in industrial coatings, protective linings, or fireproofing to lead complex specialty construction projects from estimating through completion.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who understands field execution, takes ownership of project profitability, and enjoys building lasting customer relationships. You’ll have the autonomy to manage a portfolio of work, with the operational support and resources needed to pursue large, technically challenging projects nationwide.

Experienced industrial coatings project managers with some estimating exposure are encouraged to apply. Strong field leadership and financial management experience are especially valuable.

What You’ll Do

- Estimate industrial coatings, linings, fireproofing, and related specialty construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, surface preparation requirements, coating systems, access needs, and containment requirements.
- Develop quantity takeoffs, labor and material pricing, equipment costs, and competitive lump-sum proposals.
- Manage projects from award through mobilization, execution, and closeout.
- Coordinate field supervisors, craft labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and schedules.
- Track budgets, labor productivity, change orders, progress billing, forecasts, and project profitability.
- Partner with field teams to meet safety, quality, technical, and customer requirements.
- Maintain customer relationships and identify opportunities for repeat and additional work.
- Travel to project sites for mobilization, oversight, and customer meetings.

What You Bring

- Approximately 8–10+ years of relevant experience in industrial coatings, linings, fireproofing, or closely related specialty contracting.
- Contractor-side experience with direct responsibility for field execution and project financial performance.
- Experience managing lump-sum contracts, including cost control, forecasting, and profitability.
- Working knowledge of surface preparation, coating systems, application methods, and inspection requirements.
- Experience preparing estimates or contributing directly to bids and proposals.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to work onsite in St. Louis and travel to projects nationwide.

A degree is welcome but not required. Relevant experience and demonstrated results take priority.

Experience That Stands Out

- AMPP/NACE Coating Inspector certification, particularly CIP Level 2 or Level 3.
- Intumescent fireproofing, spray-applied fire-resistive materials (SFRM), or plural-component applications.
- DOE, DOD, nuclear, semiconductor, or other highly regulated industrial projects.
- Union craft labor management.
- Large, complex, multiyear projects.
- Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- A record of developing customer relationships and generating profitable repeat business.

Compensation & Benefits

- $150,000–$250,000 in total annual compensation, with structure based on experience and responsibilities.
- Performance incentives tied to individual contribution and project profitability.
- Employer-paid employee medical coverage and a contribution toward dependent coverage.
- Dental and vision insurance.
- 401(k) with company match, subject to eligibility.
- Three weeks of paid time off.
- Relocation assistance.
- Flexibility for personal and family obligations.

Location & Travel

This position is based onsite in St. Louis, Missouri. Project management responsibilities typically involve approximately 8–10 weeks of travel annually. An estimating-focused position may involve less travel.
