About this role
The PD Academy program is a structured development program combining role-specific training with an applied engineering project. Join Ford’s Product Development Engineering Design team to develop vehicle components and support their progression from concept through analysis, optimization, and production. The work may include interior, exterior, or underbody components and their subcomponents and attachment features. You will collaborate with engineering partners and suppliers to deliver designs that meet functional, package, feasibility, manufacturability, and quality requirements.

- Knowledge of CATIA V5/V6 is preferred; familiarity with Teamcenter and visualization tools such as Vismockup is an advantage.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, metal stamping, or thermoforming.
- Familiarity with systems engineering and relevant product-development methods or Core Tools, such as DFMEA/FMEA, APQP, PPAP, or 5D problem solving.
- Strong written and verbal communication, English proficiency, cross-functional collaboration, curiosity, and an improvement mindset.
