Position Overview

Tisun Beauty is seeking a dependable, motivated, professional, and customer-focused Cosmetic Sales Associate to join our team.

The Cosmetic Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers with their makeup, cosmetics, and skincare needs, providing product information and recommendations, maintaining an organized and well-stocked cosmetics department, and supporting store sales goals. The ideal candidate has an interest in cosmetics and beauty products, enjoys working with customers, and can contribute to a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, professional assistance.

- Assist customers in selecting cosmetics, makeup, skincare, and beauty products based on their preferences and needs.

- Provide accurate product information, including ingredients, product features, application methods, and pricing, when available.

- Recommend complementary products and cross-sell appropriate items to enhance the customer shopping experience.

- Maintain knowledge of cosmetic brands, product offerings, makeup trends, and skincare basics.

- Keep the cosmetics department clean, organized, properly stocked, and visually appealing.

- Restock merchandise from warehouse inventory as needed.

- Maintain attractive product displays and assist with merchandising, promotions, and seasonal displays.

- Ensure merchandise is properly priced, labeled, and displayed.

- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items, missing merchandise, and inventory concerns to management.

- Assist with receiving, sorting, and organizing incoming merchandise when assigned.

- Return overstock merchandise to the warehouse and maintain an orderly storage area.

- Respond to customer questions and address basic concerns professionally, referring issues to management when necessary.

- Support departmental and store sales goals through attentive service and appropriate product recommendations.

- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations.

- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the Tisun Beauty dress code and employee handbook.

- Work collaboratively with team members and assist with other store duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

- Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred; at least one year of customer service experience is preferred.

- Knowledge of cosmetics, makeup, skincare, or beauty products strongly preferred.

- Ability to communicate product information clearly and professionally.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused personality.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Willingness to learn about new products, cosmetic brands, and beauty trends.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Additional education or training in cosmetology, makeup artistry, or a related field is a plus.

Job Requirements

- Must be available to work weekends and flexible retail hours based on store business needs.

- Must demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.

- Must comply with Tisun Beauty's dress code, employee handbook, and company policies.

- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine retail tasks, including bending, reaching, stocking, and lifting merchandise as required, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Must maintain a professional attitude and provide respectful, consistent customer service.

- Must be willing to assist with merchandising, inventory, and other reasonable departmental or store duties as assigned.

Compensation and Schedule

Starting Pay: $14.00 per hour.

This is a part-time position. Work schedules will be determined by store business needs. Candidates must have weekend availability and be willing to work flexible retail hours, including holidays as needed.
