The Charge Entry Specialist will be required to complete data entry, scanning, and mail services. The ideal candidate for this position will be detail-oriented and handle a high volume of data, focusing on detecting and correcting errors.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Minimum 3+ Years of experience in data entry.
- Maintain strong skills in diplomacy, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
- Strong communication skills in both oral and written.
- Positive attitude, Team Player.
- Knowledge of practice management software is desired.
- Familiarity with computers and Windows PC applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to learn new computer systems and applications.
- Experience handling mail and office supplies preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Type 45-60 WPM.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- The Charge Entry Specialist should expect to work frequently with a computer entering various data sets.
- Entering data into a health information system is a core function of the job.
- Process and prep all written documents to be mailed.
- Track daily work (mail, scanning, letters) via weekly log.
- Performs clerical tasks in the data processing and mailing function.
- Meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of efficiency, accuracy, quality, member satisfaction, and attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the department manager.
