JOB OVERVIEW

General Mills is looking for a curious, creative Digital Experimentation Strategist to help us learn faster by planning and activating digital ad tests that generate real consumer and business insight. This role sits within a fast-moving team focused on new product innovation, experimentation, and new ways to connect media, DTC, commerce, and emerging technology.

In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to bring experiments to life— translating a hypothesis into a test, coordinating the digital experience and media plan, managing the details required to launch, and turning results into clear recommendations. You will play a key role in helping teams test and learn while staying close to evolving consumer behavior, platform shifts, and the future of digital marketing.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Translate business questions into practical test plans across media, messaging, audience, and creative variables

- Design and execute social media advertising campaigns that help teams quickly test hypotheses and generate actionable insights

- Analyze campaign results, synthesize findings, and share clear recommendations with project teams and stakeholders

- Coordinate with designers on the creation and execution of digital assets, including ad creative, DTC websites, and landing pages

- Stay closely connected with key cross-functional partners across Brand, Insights, R&D, and Marketing on business priorities and experimentation needs

- Monitor digital trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to bring fresh thinking, new ideas, and pilot opportunities into the team’s work

- Contribute to a culture of curiosity, agility, collaboration, and continuous learning across the team and our cross-functional partners

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or a related field

- 2+ years of experience in paid social and/or digital media campaign strategy & execution

- Experience with social media ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.), including campaign setup, audience management, and performance optimization

- Strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, partners, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously

- Experience using analytics and reporting platforms to evaluate campaign performance, benchmarks, and statistical significance

- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex information clear and actionable

- Comfortable operating with ambiguity, adapting quickly as priorities evolve, and managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to collaborate effectively and influence across a large, complex organization and with external partners

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with TikTok Shop, social commerce, creator commerce, affiliate marketing, or other emerging commerce models

- Experience applying generative AI or other AI-enabled marketing technologies to content, personalization, research, analytics, automation, or workflow improvement

- Experience developing or optimizing storefronts, product detail pages, shoppable content, creator partnerships, or commerce-focused customer journeys.

- Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, conversion optimization, customer journey thinking, and/or digital test-and-learn approaches

- Experience supporting innovation, new product development, digital transformation, or growth initiatives across multiple brands or businesses.

- Working knowledge of consumer privacy, consent, data governance, and responsible AI considerations as they relate to digital marketing and experimentation
