Candidates based in Knoxville or East Tennessee are preferred, but remote candidates may be considered for the right experience.

Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for projects involving Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) systems.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to establish project scope and installation requirements.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, and installation costs.
- Develop accurate estimates and bid proposals that account for project requirements, scope inclusions, exclusions, and pricing assumptions.
- Review specifications to identify scope gaps, potential cost risks, and project-specific requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations to establish accurate material pricing and competitive bids.
- Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify scope requirements and resolve estimating questions.
- Maintain organized estimating documentation, pricing records, and bid submissions while meeting deadlines.
- Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with construction documents before submitting bids.

Requirements

- 3–7 years of construction estimating experience, preferably with 3–5 years specifically estimating Insulated Metal Panels (IMPs).
- Demonstrated experience independently preparing estimates, performing takeoffs, and developing complete bids.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing, mission-critical facilities, or industrial construction projects is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and bid documents.
- Hands-on experience calculating labor, material, and installation costs for construction projects.
- Familiarity with construction estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and related cost analysis tools.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Knoxville or East Tennessee location preferred; candidates outside the area may be considered for remote work, while relocation may also be considered.

Compensation: $75,000–$105,000 annually, based on experience.

Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
