About this role

WHO WE ARE:

30 years helping men, women, and kids everywhere look and feel good. Comfort innovation is at the core
of everything we do, driving the development of stylish, high-quality products at a great value. From our

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Retail IT Operations Business Analyst to sit at the intersection of technology and retail operations — serving as the critical link between retail business partners and the IT organization. This role is equal parts analytical, collaborative, and operational, with core deliveries spanning reporting, analytics, exception intelligence, multi-platform solution design, and forward-looking insight. The ideal candidate brings a solution-first mindset, is fluent across analytical platforms, and is passionate about turning data into decisions that move the retail business forward.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Analytics & Reporting:

- Generate and distribute core retail reporting across daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal cadences — store scorecards, category recaps, channel summaries, and executive dashboards
- Design and maintain exception-based dashboards that surface trends, outliers, and opportunities across store, channel, and category performance
- Deliver insight-driven commentary with every report — translating outputs into clear context on what happened, why, and what to do next
- Define and track retail IT KPIs in partnership with Corporate Data & Analytics

Multi-Platform Solution Design & Delivery:

- Evaluate and recommend the right analytical solution for each business ask, drawing from the full Skechers platform toolkit: BI platforms (Incorta, Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy), business application databases (ERP, POS, CRM), AI/ML tools, legacy platforms, and hybrid approaches
- Stay current on evolving platform capabilities and AI advancements; document solution decisions to build a reusable knowledge base

Business Needs Discovery & BI Development Liaison:

- Serve as the primary liaison between retail business stakeholders and the internal BI Engineering & Development team
- Lead discovery sessions across Store Operations, Merchandising, Allocations, Marketing, and E-Commerce to uncover goals, pain points, and unmet data needs
- Translate business asks into analytical briefs, functional specifications, and user stories actionable by BI developers
- Manage the analytics intake pipeline; own UAT on behalf of business stakeholders before deployment

Exception Reporting & Forward-Looking Insight:

- Design exception reporting frameworks that proactively surface outliers and opportunities across sell-through, inventory health, conversion, promotional effectiveness, and digital engagement
- Leverage AI-powered anomaly detection to enhance exception identification speed and precision
- Build scenario tools, trend projections, and what-if models to shift business partners from reactive to proactive

Retail IT Operational Support:

- Support day-to-day Global Retail IT operations — issue triage, intake management, resolution tracking, and SLA compliance monitoring
- Manage vendor relationships and support testing, validation, and rollout of retail technology initiatives including POS enhancements, clienteling tools, and BI platform upgrades
- Maintain operational procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base articles

Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement:

- Partner across Store Operations, Merchandising, Allocations, Marketing, E-Commerce, Finance, Corporate Data & Analytics, and the BI Development team
- Facilitate working sessions, communicate project status, and deliver user training and self-service guides across reporting platforms
- Champion a data-driven culture — advocating for the retail business in every IT conversation

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to distill complex datasets into clear, actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills — effective with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to gather requirements and translate them into clear analytical and technical deliverables
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment
- Comfortable operating across global teams, time zones, and cultures in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field — or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in a Business Analyst, IT Operations, or Data Analytics role — preferably in consumer retail
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or equivalent
- Proficiency in SQL; data warehousing experience a plus
- Strong understanding of retail operations — store technology, POS systems, and omnichannel processes
- Experience with cross-functional and globally distributed teams

Pay range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000/year USD.
