Job Description: Senior Kotlin (Android) Developer Number of Resources: 2 Experience: 6–10+ years Location: Chennai
Required Technical Skills 1. Kotlin and Android Development ● Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK. ● Hands-on experience with Android Jetpack components, including ViewModel, LiveData, Room, WorkManager, and Navigation. ● Strong understanding of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow. ● Experience with dependency injection using Hilt/Dagger.
2. API Integration and Communication ● Hands-on experience integrating REST APIs, JSON, HTTPS/TLS, authentication, and secure API communication. ● Experience with socket programming, TCP/IP, and WebSockets for real-time communication and device-to-server connectivity.
3. Database and Offline Capabilities ● Experience with local Android data storage using Room or equivalent technologies. ● Experience with offline-first applications, transaction synchronization, retry mechanisms, and transaction recovery.
4. Security ● Understanding of data encryption, certificate management, secure key exchange, JWT, OAuth 2.0, and application security.
5. Hardware and Device Integration ● Familiarity with hardware communication interfaces, including USB, Serial, Bluetooth, and vendor-specific SDKs. ● Knowledge of NFC, EMV card reading, ISO 14443, and contactless smart-card technologies is a strong advantage.
6. Development Tools and Support ● Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, application deployment, debugging, logging, and production support. Preferred Domain Experience Experience in any of the following domains will be highly advantageous: ● Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) ● Metro/Rail and Public Transport ● NCMC and EMV ● QR ticketing ● POS and payment processing
