Senior Software Engineer (.NET + React)

We will be working together on:

- Designing, developing and evolving scalable applications using C# and modern web technologies.
- Building and maintaining REST APIs and microservice-based solutions.
- Contributing to applications that process and manage large volumes of data, including vehicle GPS and telemetry-related information.
- Making informed architectural decisions regarding scalability, performance and data flow.
- Applying data-driven design principles when structuring applications and services.
- Contributing to data-streaming solutions while considering reliability, throughput and processing requirements.
- Contributing across different application layers, including frontend applications, APIs and background workers.
- Working with relational or time-series data storage and designing efficient data-access and querying approaches.
- Collaborating closely with the client’s technical leadership and colleagues from different countries.
- Communicating progress, technical considerations, risks and dependencies proactively.
- Suggesting improvements, challenging ideas constructively and helping move technical discussions towards clear decisions.
- Maintaining a delivery-focused approach while considering the long-term direction of the solutions you build.

You might be our missing piece if you have:

- Knowledge of Formula 1 concepts such as laps, sectors, pit stops and tyre compounds and a genuine interest in Formula 1 and motorsport.
- Strong professional experience with C# on backend and React or other relevant frameworks on frontend.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Good understanding of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience applying data-driven design principles.
- Understanding of data-streaming architectures and their main design considerations.
- Experience designing applications that need to scale as data volume and usage increase.
- Experience with modern engineering practices and automated testing.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- A proactive communication style and the confidence to contribute ideas in an international team.
- The ability to build trusted working relationships with technical leaders and other stakeholders.
- A pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset, combined with the ability to think strategically about your work.
- Availability to attend occasional team gatherings at our Cluj-Napoca office.

We would be thrilled if you have:

- Experience with time-series data storage and querying.
- Experience implementing Kafka producer and consumer patterns.
- Experience with other publish-subscribe or message-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with real-time communication patterns between backend and frontend applications.
