The City of Nacogdoches is looking for a dynamic Historic Sites Manager to direct and grow our museum collections, exhibits and public educational programs!
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations and team members across historic sites.
Curate museum collections, organize research and design engaging temporary exhibits.
Develop department budgets, pursue grants and manage financial resources.
Lead community outreach programs, guided tours and educational workshops.
Build strong network connections with community partners and organizational liaisons.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in museum studies, public history, public administration or related field (Master's preferred).
- 3+ years of experience assisting in historic site or museum operations.
- Knowledge of collections management, museum ethics and cataloguing software.
- Strong leadership, communication and public relations skills.
