Part-Time Phlebotomist

Job Title: Part-Time Phlebotomist Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and skilled phlebotomist to support a large-scale breast cancer blood detection study. This is a mobile position where you will be a key part of a team working to enroll 2,600 subjects over 16 months. You will travel to various locations in the Tampa and Orlando areas. Responsibilities

- Travel to designated locations within the Tampa and Orlando areas to perform blood draws on study participants.
- Ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience with a compassionate and professional bedside manner.
- Prepare and ship blood samples on the same day without the need for processing or centrifuge work.
- Adhere to all study protocols and safety guidelines.

Essential Skills

- High school diploma or equivalent experience in phlebotomy; proficiency in drawing blood is a must.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program is required, even though Florida does not mandate certification.
- A compassionate and empathetic personality with an excellent bedside manner.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Tampa and Orlando regions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Three years of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- Experience in an oncology setting is a plus.

Work Environment This position can be part-time in either Orlando or Tampa, or full-time traveling between both locations. Working with breast cancer patients requires an empathetic approach. There will be no travel reimbursement provided for the full-time role.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
