Background & Programme Context
The Commercial Digital Services Value Pool, within Haleon's Digital & Technology Function, represents a major enterprise-wide transformation effort aimed at unlocking more than £250m in commercial benefits over 3–5 years, enabled by over £100m in targeted digital investment.
Within this portfolio, the Go To Market Transformation Programme is a strategic multi-year initiative designed to modernise how Haleon engages customers, pharmacies, healthcare professionals and retail partners through digitally enabled commercial capabilities.
As consumer expectations evolve and retail environments become increasingly competitive, Haleon requires modern capabilities that enable commercial and field teams to execute with greater precision, visibility and effectiveness. Success depends upon empowering teams with integrated customer insights, intelligent recommendations and connected engagement capabilities that drive consistency and performance across global markets.
The programme supports Haleon's ambition to transform commercial execution through digitised field activities, enhanced customer engagement, AI-powered decision support and in-store execution excellence. By combining CRM capabilities, pharmacy engagement experiences, image recognition, retail execution capabilities and Next Best Action recommendations, the programme aims to improve sales force effectiveness, strengthen customer relationships and optimise commercial performance across global markets.
The Go To Market Transformation portfolio brings together four strategic transformation pillars:
1. Salesforce of the Future
Delivering next-generation CRM capabilities, field force digitisation and customer engagement solutions that provide representatives with improved visibility, productivity and effectiveness whilst enabling more connected and data-driven interactions with healthcare professionals, customers and commercial partners. This includes the global deployment and continuous evolution of Haleon's future CRM ecosystem and associated commercial engagement capabilities.
2. Pharmacy Transformation
Creating connected pharmacy experiences that combine digital engagement, ordering, loyalty, education, category insights and support services into a unified pharmacy ecosystem. The programme is designed to strengthen Haleon's partnerships with pharmacies, simplify engagement, improve service experiences and unlock sustainable growth across one of Haleon's most strategically important commercial channels.
3. In-Store Execution Transformation
Delivering next-generation retail execution capabilities that enable field teams to plan, execute, track and optimise in-store activities more effectively. This includes store visit management, task execution, compliance monitoring, merchandising effectiveness, retail performance insights and execution analytics designed to improve visibility and consistency across customer-facing activities.
4. Next Best Action & Image Recognition
Implementing AI-driven capabilities that provide field representatives with intelligent recommendations and prioritised actions to maximise commercial performance. Leveraging advanced analytics, customer data and image recognition technologies, these solutions enable real-time assessment of store conditions, shelf execution, distribution compliance, promotional effectiveness and growth opportunities whilst driving more targeted and effective customer interactions.
Together, these capabilities are transforming how Haleon engages customers, executes in-store activities and enables commercial teams to deliver more effective, connected and insight-driven customer experiences at scale.
