Job Summary
Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking enthusiastic, organized, and motivated Case Management Resource Specialists to join our dynamic Inpatient Case Management team!

In this unique, hands-on role, you’ll work closely with experienced nurse case managers and multidisciplinary clinical teams to help coordinate safe, timely transitions from the hospital to the next level of care. From arranging rehabilitation services and coordinating medical equipment to communicating with healthcare providers and visiting patient care units, you’ll play an important role in supporting patients and their families during a critical part of their healthcare journey.

This is not your typical desk job! You’ll be an active part of the hospital environment, collaborating with clinical teams across inpatient units while developing valuable skills in care coordination, healthcare operations, and patient services.

Why join our team?

- Gain invaluable firsthand exposure to inpatient healthcare and discharge planning.
- Build relationships with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop highly transferable skills in communication, problem-solving, and care coordination.
- Enjoy a predictable schedule, planned well in advance, with flexibility surrounding weekend coverage.
- Build a strong foundation for future career opportunities in nursing, healthcare administration, and beyond!
- Previous healthcare experience is welcome but not required. We’re looking for individuals with exceptional customer service skills, a strong work ethic, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine desire to learn.

Schedule: Full-time, on-site at MGH in Boston. Available schedules include 8:30 AM–5:00 PM and 9:30 AM–6:00 PM. Weekend coverage consists of just one Saturday or Sunday per month, with a corresponding weekday off. Two holidays per year are required. Schedules are developed approximately three months in advance to support work-life balance.

Candidates must be comfortable navigating multiple systems, working in a fast-paced environment, and interacting with patients and care teams.
