About this role

Job Title: Senior Project Manager $1B+ TIC Capital Project Delivery Job Description This Senior Project Manager role leads the successful delivery of a large-scale, $1B+ total installed cost (TIC) project that has recently transitioned from FEED into detailed engineering. You will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to keep a highly complex energy or petrochemical project on schedule, within budget, and aligned with stakeholder expectations. This is a critical leadership position with significant visibility and long-term opportunities to grow into more Senior leadership roles. Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a $1B+ TIC project from FEED through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Own overall project execution, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are clearly defined, monitored, and achieved.
- Provide strong leadership to multidisciplinary EPCM teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
- Coordinate and align internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and timely decision-making across all project phases.
- Oversee detailed engineering activities, ensuring designs meet technical, safety, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
- Manage construction execution strategies, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality field performance.
- Drive effective change management, including the identification, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of change orders.
- Maintain rigorous cost control and forecasting, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to keep the project within budget.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust integrated project schedules, ensuring critical path activities are well-managed and milestones are met.
- Apply strong commercial awareness to contracts, vendor relationships, and project decisions to optimize value and manage risk.
- Engage regularly with Senior leadership and key stakeholders, providing clear, concise updates on project status, risks, and mitigations.
- Ensure robust risk management practices, including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and ongoing tracking of project risks.
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all project teams and contractors.
- Serve as a visible, hands-on leader who can dive into details when required while maintaining a strategic view of project execution.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities, responding to customer and stakeholder needs without losing sight of overall project objectives.

Essential Skills

- 2030 years of overall industry experience in large, complex capital projects.
- At least 10 years of experience in EPCM environments, leading major project delivery.
- Proven expertise running a $1B+ TIC project from FEED through commissioning.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical engineering role before or in addition to project management responsibilities.
- Strong background in upstream or midstream oil and gas or related petrochemical projects.
- Demonstrated experience with detailed engineering and design for large industrial facilities.
- Experience managing construction execution on major industrial projects.
- Proven ability to manage change orders, including commercial and contractual implications.
- Exceptional project management skills, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality management.
- Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
- High reliability, proactivity, and accountability in delivering commitments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and switch tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to be hands-on and deeply engaged in day-to-day project issues while maintaining strategic oversight.
- High personal drive and resilience to perform in a demanding role with constant touchpoints across the project.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Carbon capture project experience is a strong asset.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is beneficial but not explicitly required.
- Experience on large-scale energy transition, decarbonization, or similar industrial projects is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and contractors.
- Track record of stepping into Senior leadership responsibilities and mentoring project teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and optimize project economics.

Work Environment You will work on a large, high-profile industrial project environment focused on complex energy or petrochemical facilities. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams, as well as frequent interaction with Senior leadership and external stakeholders. The pace is fast and demanding, with constant touchpoints across multiple work fronts and project phases. Expect a mix of office-based project coordination and engagement with remote or site-based teams, using modern project management and engineering tools to drive execution. The culture emphasizes safety, technical excellence, commercial discipline, and long-term growth, offering substantial opportunities to progress into more Senior leadership roles as the project and broader portfolio advance.
