About this role
VIBRANT is a leading North American commercial marketing firm. We bring success to our clients by providing creative ideas, savvy marketing, and sales solutions capabilities. For leading brands, start-ups, or challengers we help accelerate and/or energize their commercial effort.
We’re looking for an Associate Account Director who combines a passion for experiential marketing with strong client leadership, team management and commercial judgment. Overseeing multiple national accounts for Canadian and global brands, you’ll lead account managers, strengthen client relationships and drive organic growth while ensuring our campaigns deliver against creative, operational and financial expectations.
You’ll own the broader client relationship, leading strategic conversations, providing counsel and managing escalations, while account managers lead day-to-day communication. Working closely with strategy, creative and senior account leadership, you’ll contribute to proposals and campaign development, then take clear ownership of delivery as programs move into market.
You’re someone who lives and breathes experiential marketing. You seek out activations, events, restaurants and cultural experiences, build connections and bring fresh perspectives into your work. You pair that curiosity with the organization, attention to detail and financial discipline needed to keep multiple accounts and teams performing at their best.
Why VIBRANT
- Enjoy a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 comprehensive health benefits, generous vacation programs, and anniversary leave.
- Be rewarded for your connections and contributions through our “Commission for Life” program and generous referral bonuses.
- Join a collaborative team that supports your growth, values your ideas, and creates opportunities to develop your career.

What you will do
- Drive organic growth within existing accounts by understanding client priorities, strengthening relationships and proactively bringing forward recommendations to expand our work. Take opportunities from initial discussion through proposal development and securing additional business.
- Oversee multiple account managers and their respective accounts, maintaining visibility across campaigns, deadlines, resources and competing priorities. Set clear direction, review work and ensure managers have the guidance and support to deliver.
- Partner closely with strategy, creative and production teams to shape proposals, scopes, briefs and campaign plans that connect client objectives with compelling, achievable brand experiences.
- Take ownership of campaign delivery as programs move into market, ensuring teams and partners are prepared, outstanding details are resolved and execution meets agreed objectives and VIBRANT’s standards.
- Hold teams accountable for accurate workback schedules, clear responsibilities and quality deliverables. Anticipate dependencies, resolve issues and involve senior leadership when significant risks require additional support or decisions.
- Be accountable for financial performance across assigned accounts, including budget accuracy, scope control, forecasting, cost tracking and profitability. Review financials with managers, address variances early and ensure changes are documented and approved.
- Apply strong attention to detail when reviewing proposals, budgets, timelines, production plans and reports, identifying gaps before they affect clients or execution.
- Coach and develop account managers through clear expectations, regular feedback and practical support, strengthening their client service, project management and financial capabilities
- Stay actively connected to the experiential industry through activations, events, restaurants, cultural experiences and networking. Bring relevant observations, relationships and recommendations into client conversations and campaign development.
- Oversee campaign reporting and post-campaign reviews, assessing results, financial performance and lessons learned to improve future work and inform account growth.
What you bring
- Approximately seven or more years of relevant marketing experience, including substantial experience leading experiential campaigns in an agency environment.
- Proven ability to oversee multiple accounts and complex programs, balancing competing priorities while maintaining visibility across details, deadlines and team workloads.
- Experience managing and developing account managers, setting direction, reviewing work and holding teams accountable for delivery.
- Strong client relationship skills, including providing strategic counsel, navigating higher-level conversations and resolving escalations with sound judgment.
- Demonstrated success growing existing accounts through proactive recommendations, relationship development and converting opportunities into additional business.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience owning budgets, controlling scope, forecasting costs and revenue, and managing account profitability.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to identify gaps, anticipate needs and ensure teams are prepared for execution.
- A deep enthusiasm for experiential marketing and an active interest in discovering activations, events, venues and cultural experiences, building industry connections and applying that perspective to your work.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with strategy, creative and production teams, contributing to campaign development and leading delivery into market.
- Confident written and verbal communication, including presenting proposals, recommendations and campaign results.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Flexibility to travel and attend activations and relationship-building events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
If you love the moving parts as much as the big ideas, enjoy connecting with people and take pride in helping teams deliver great work, we’d love to hear from you.
