Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and key bridge refurbishments. Construction is set to begin in late 2025, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.

The Structural Engineer will provide construction-phase engineering support for bridge and structural work across the SR400 Express Lanes Project. This role will support the review of structural submittals, temporary works, construction calculations, RFIs, constructability, and field technical issues. The Structural Engineer will work closely with the Technical Director, Designer of Record, drafting team, field engineers, superintendents, quality staff, and other project disciplines to ensure structural work is safe, buildable, and compliant with project requirements.
