About this role

About the Role

When a Subaru owner calls us about their vehicle, you're who they talk to. Service Care Specialists schedule service, answer questions, and make sure every guest leaves the call knowing exactly what happens next.

This is a phone and messaging role, not a service drive role. You won't be writing repair orders or working on vehicles. You'll be the voice of two Salt Lake Valley Subaru stores, booking appointments, following up with guests who haven't been in for a while, and offering our mobile service — where a technician drives to the guest's home or office and does the work there.

It's a good fit for someone who likes people, likes a busy phone, and takes satisfaction in handling something start to finish instead of passing it along.

What You'll Do

- Answer incoming service calls, texts, and online requests, and get guests scheduled.

- Offer mobile service when it fits, so guests can have routine maintenance done at home or at work instead of coming in.

- Make outbound calls to guests who are due for service, who've been away a while, or who had work recommended that they haven't done yet.

- Confirm appointments and set clear expectations so nobody is surprised when they arrive.

- Follow up on missed appointments and get them rescheduled.

- Keep guest and vehicle information accurate in our scheduling and customer systems.

- Own the next step on every interaction — say what you'll do, then do it.

Schedule

Full time, on site.* The training shift is 9:00am to 5:00pm. Once you’re trained up, the shift moves to 10:00am to 6:00pm with a rotating Saturday schedule shared across the team.

*After successfully completing your first 60 days, you'll be able to work from home three times per month.

Pay

Base pay: $20.00 per hour ($41,600 per year)
Performance pay: $300 – $600 per month once you’re up to speed, paid monthly
Total compensation: $45,000 – $49,000 per year ( roughly $21.75 to $23.50 per hour) with top performers earning more. Performance pay builds as you learn the role, so expect it to be lower during your first month or two.

Qualifications

Required

- Comfortable on the phone for most of your shift, including outbound calls.

- Clear written communication for texts and messages.

- Comfortable learning scheduling and customer software; solid general computer skills.

- Available for a rotating Saturday schedule.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check.

Nice to have, not required

- One year or more in a role where you talked to customers all day — call center, reception, retail, hospitality, scheduling, or similar.

- Automotive service, dealership, or BDC experience.

- Spanish or another second language.

- Experience with a customer relationship management system.

We'll teach you Subaru maintenance, our systems, and how we handle calls.
