We are looking for a talented Quality Technician III to join our 1st shift team specializing in Quality for our CDBS (Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems) Facility in Plainfield, IN .
How You Will Make an Impact
- Ensure Product Quality - Compare components, materials, and finished products against technical specifications to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform Inspection & Testing - Conduct product and component testing, including electrical function, reliability, and packaging quality assessments to support production excellence.
- Deliver Accurate Measurement Data - Utilize a variety of measurement and testing equipment to generate precise data that supports quality decisions and process improvements.
- Support Engineering Operations - Partner with engineers on production-related and inspection activities, helping to maintain efficient manufacturing and quality processes.
- Maintain Quality Documentatio n-Record test results, maintain inspection records, and prepare technical reports that support compliance, traceability, and informed decision-making.
- Optimize Measurement Systems -Assist with advanced programming, operation, and training of measurement equipment to improve testing capabilities and accuracy.
- Ensure Equipment Reliability -Support the maintenance and calibration of measurement and test equipment to ensure consistent, dependable performance.
- Drive Continuous Improvement -Participate in measurement uncertainty studies and provide technical insights that help improve product quality, process control, and customer satisfaction.
