Retail Operations Manager - Malaysia

YOUR SHOES TO FILL

- Drive Retail Excellence: Oversee day-to-day retail operations across Malaysia, ensuring consistent execution of operational standards, company policies and best practices across all stores.
- Maximize Business Performance: Monitor sales, profitability and operational KPIs, identify growth opportunities and implement action plans to drive revenue, productivity and store performance.
- Lead & Develop Teams: Coach, support and develop Store Managers and retail teams, fostering a high-performance culture through continuous feedback, talent development and succession planning.
- Elevate Customer Experience: Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all stores, proactively addressing customer feedback and implementing initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Optimize Inventory Management: Oversee stock availability, replenishment and inventory accuracy while minimizing stock losses in close collaboration with Supply Chain and Merchandising.
- Manage Financial Performance: Take ownership of operational budgets, monitor store expenses and labor costs, and ensure efficient resource allocation to achieve profitability targets.
- Ensure Compliance & Standards: Maintain compliance with Malaysian regulations, health and safety requirements, internal controls and company policies while minimizing operational risks.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline retail processes, support POS and system integration initiatives, and contribute to digital transformation and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Partner closely with HR, Finance, Marketing, IT, Supply Chain and Merchandising to support commercial initiatives, store projects and overall business objectives.

YOUR WALK OF LIFE

- Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in multi-store retail operations management, ideally within the fashion, footwear, lifestyle or premium retail industry.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in managing, coaching and developing Store Managers and retail teams.
- Solid commercial understanding with the ability to analyze sales performance, financial results and operational KPIs to drive business improvements.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control, retail processes and operational best practices.
- Experience in budget management, cost control and performance reporting.
- Familiarity with retail POS systems, reporting tools and system integration processes would be an advantage.
- Good understanding of Malaysian retail operations, local employment regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and organizational levels.
- Proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented mindset with strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic retail environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia would be an advantage.
