BrightStar Care is building a resource pool of dependable Pediatric Hospital Sitters for potential assignments in Amarillo, TX.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous bedside observation for pediatric patients.
- Monitor patient activity and report concerns promptly to nursing staff.
- Offer age-appropriate companionship, reassurance, and redirection.
- Follow hospital safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Document observations as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience caring for children.
- Experience in healthcare, childcare, education, behavioral health, or a related field.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout extended shifts.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Successful completion of required background checks and onboarding.
Additional Information
- PRN assignments based on staffing needs and availability.
- Placement in the resource pool does not guarantee assignments or hours.
- Hourly pay of $13–$15 for assigned shifts.
