About this role

Flagler Health is building the clinical operating system for modern musculoskeletal care.

We partner with MSK provider groups and specialty clinics to help them grow, operate more efficiently, and deliver better longitudinal care across patient acquisition, clinical workflows, and ongoing patient engagement. Our platform sits at the intersection of care delivery and clinic operations, helping providers capture more value across the full patient lifecycle.

We’ve recently raised our Series B and are entering our next phase of growth.

The Role:

In this role, you’ll take ownership of special projects assigned by the founders and leadership team, seeing them through from kickoff to delivery. This includes making decisions, working across teams, setting up processes, and keeping track of what’s happening in the business. A lot of the work involves figuring things out from scratch, such as building billing and revenue operations or setting up new functions as the company grows.

You’ll spend time digging into data, talking to people, and identifying practical improvements. You’ll also support business development through research, outreach, deal tracking, and materials preparation, while handling recruiting tasks like sourcing, interviews, work trials, and coordination with external recruiters. Additional responsibilities include payroll, expenses, vendor payments, invoicing, leases, real estate, and office setup, with a focus on creating documented and tested systems that run independently.

What You'll Do:

- Own special projects from kickoff through delivery, making decisions and setting processes
- Build billing, revenue operations, and new functions from scratch
- Support business development by researching opportunities, tracking deals, and preparing materials
- Manage recruiting end-to-end, including sourcing, interviews, work trials, and external recruiters
- Handle payroll, expenses, vendor payments, invoicing, leases, real estate, and office setup
- Dig into data to identify what’s working and implement practical improvements
- Document and test systems to ensure they operate without ongoing oversight
- Prioritize work by evaluating tradeoffs and aligning teams on execution

Required Qualifications:

- 1-4 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience taking ownership of special projects from kickoff to delivery
- Ability to work across teams, set up processes, and track business operations
- Experience building functions from scratch, such as billing or revenue operations
- Comfort digging into data, identifying improvements, and supporting business development and recruiting
- Experience managing administrative tasks like payroll, expenses, and vendor payments

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience at an early-stage startup in an operator or Chief of Staff-type role
- Comfort working closely with technical teams like engineering and research
- Exposure to AI, data, or tech through previous roles or genuine interest
- Experience building customer-facing programs, billing systems, or revenue operations from scratch
- Background working across ops, strategy, finance, go-to-market, product, or recruiting

Work Environment:

- NYC Office

Our Values:

This is what you can expect of your teammates at Flagler:

- Owner: We own our work like founders. We don't wait to be asked, and we pick up the problem nobody else has.
- Builder: We like making things from scratch. We don't need a playbook to start, and we'd rather ship a rough first version than wait on a perfect spec.
- Fast: We make quick decisions. We favor progress and respect process.
- Transparent: We communicate directly. We value merit and honesty, and we challenge assumptions, including our own.
- Curious: We explore new approaches and ask "why" often.
