Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on AWS experience: IAM roles/policies, KMS encryption, secrets management, VPC networking, TLS/mTLS, and secure service-to-service integrations.
- Practical expertise with OAuth2/OIDC (authorization code, client credentials, token exchange), JWT, scopes/claims, and resource server patterns.
- Strong testing discipline: JUnit 5, Spring Test, Mockito; confident with integration/contract testing and CI-enforced coverage using JaCoCo
- Observability fundamentals: metrics, logs, tracing; experience building dashboards/alerts and troubleshooting production issues.
- Proficiency with build tooling and repos: Maven (Surefire/Failsafe, JaCoCo), Git, and Bitbucket; comfortable with IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA).
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.
