Senior Pension Accountant
Description
We are seeking an individual to join the NOW Pensions team at Marsh as a Senior Pension Accountant.
Role Purpose
To support the financial management and accounting of the NOW Pension Scheme ensuring accurate reporting and robust investment reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review investment reconciliations prepared by the third-party pension administrator, including unit and cash reconciliations.
- Review the reconciliations of the Scheme Bank Accounts prepared by the third-party pensions administrator,
- Attend and contribute to regular service delivery and finance close meetings with the third-party pension administrator
- Prepare monthly investment accounting journals and reconcile the general ledger to investment reporting provided by the custodian.
- Work with the custodian to stream line investment reporting
- Liaise with external auditors during interim and year-end audits, ensuring timely completion of audit requirements.
- Produce and reconcile daily Assets under Management (AuM) reporting.
- Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc financial, accounting, and reporting activities as required.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant.
- Experience in pension scheme accounting, investment accounting, or financial services.
- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience working with third-party administrators, custodians, and auditors scheme, ensuring accurate reporting, robust investment reconciliations, and effective oversight of third-party service providers.
