About this role
This is a 9 Month fixed-term contract position. As City Strategy Lead, you will be the right-hand person for the Head of Strategic Planning & Analytics, driving success across Ireland's key city markets.
You'll own strategic direction, lead cross-functional initiatives, and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly with the goal of making Just Eat Takeaway the first preference for convenience delivery in every key city. You'll embody our values of lead, deliver, and care through collaborative, customer-centric strategy execution that helps teams across Trading, Sales, and Marketing succeed together.

Reporting to: Head of Strategic Planning & Analytics
These are some of the key components to the position:
- Support Ireland leadership in setting the strategic agenda for key cities, developing comprehensive plans focused on winning markets through commercial programmes aligned with team goals.
- Conduct market analysis of trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity, producing weekly Dublin newsletters and monthly competition reports tracking market share, promotional activity, and performance insights.
- Own the local hero programme and manage the exclusivity programme end-to-end, tracking partner performance, reviewing nominations, identifying underperformers, and representing the programme in global meetings.
- Monitor and challenge teams to hit target numbers across revenue, orders, customers, and market share, providing ad-hoc problem-solving support and managing daily operations.
- Drive trading initiative requests, campaign set-up, and innovation opportunities, communicating clearly between teams and confidently managing stakeholder expectations.
What will you bring to the team?
- Background in strategy or advisory roles such as consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, Chief of Staff, or go-to-market, with experience advising executive leaders.
- Strong understanding of the Dublin/Irish market landscape, consumer behaviour, and local business dynamics, comfortable working in fast-paced tech environments like food delivery or e-commerce.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, interpreting data to make strategic decisions quickly with strong commercial acumen and results-driven focus on exceeding KPIs.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills, communicating confidently across all organisational levels with the ability to structure programme delivery within clear financial frameworks.
- Highly organised with a positive, can-do attitude, able to multitask and work to tight deadlines while rolling up sleeves to get things done.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau (or similar data visualisation tools) is desirable.
