Technical Accounting Manager | Remote | $145K-$175K + 20% Bonus

A high-growth, private equity-backed organization is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join their dynamic accounting team.

This is a highly visible role supporting executive leadership, strategic transactions, external auditors, and cross-functional finance teams. The position offers significant exposure to complex accounting matters, policy development, M&A activity, and special projects.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead research, analysis, and documentation of complex U.S. GAAP matters

- Prepare and defend technical accounting memorandums and position papers

- Partner with executive leadership and external auditors on key accounting conclusions

- Serve as the accounting lead for acquisitions, business combinations, and strategic transactions

- Own accounting policy development and implementation

- Support technical areas including: ASC 718 | ASC 805 | ASC 606 | ASC 842

- Partner with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Tax, and Corporate Accounting teams

- Drive process improvements and scalable accounting solutions

Ideal Background

- CPA strongly preferred

- 7-10+ years of accounting experience

- Big 4 or large public accounting foundation strongly preferred

- Technical Accounting, Accounting Advisory, Financial Reporting, or Transaction Advisory experience

- Strong experience with technical accounting research and memo preparation

- Experience supporting M&A transactions and purchase accounting

- Ability to present complex accounting conclusions to senior executives and auditors

- Strong executive presence and communication skills
