Whats my primary role?

- The Unit Coordinator is responsible for providing clerical support as part of a customer-focused, service excellence-oriented team.

- Exhibits effective communication.

- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and relationship building with families and employees.

- Demonstrates understanding of the call bell system.

- Demonstrates understanding of use of proper telephone etiquette.

- Demonstrates ability to communicate via secure communication.

- Demonstrates knowledge of use and expectations for sending and receiving email notifications as appropriate and directed by DON.

- Demonstrates ability to understand and process all matters in EHR.

- Verbalizes understanding of storage and inventory of medical and office supplies, assisting Supply Coordinator to maintain unit inventory.

- Demonstrates proper infection prevention and control procedures.

- Demonstrates ability to schedule appointments and transportation for patients.

- Demonstrates ability to operate required equipment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- CNA or Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

- Knowledge of medical terminology.

- Experience with computers.

- Excellent Customer Services Skills.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal.

- Experience using Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint).

- Must be flexible, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and be able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence team.
