About this role
Description
Amazon Ads is seeking a Principal Product Manager, Technical to lead yield optimization and demand diversification for Streaming TV Ads across Amazon's video properties, including Prime Video, Twitch, and Fire TV. In this role, you will own the product vision and roadmap for features that maximize advertising yield and expand the breadth of advertisers we serve — from outcome-based optimization and programmatic capabilities to features that attract local and small business advertisers into streaming TV for the first time.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the revenue engine of one of the fastest-growing businesses in advertising. Amazon's Streaming TV Ads reach hundreds of millions of viewers globally across premium long-form content, live and interactive streaming, and the connected TV home screen. You will build the products that determine how effectively we connect this supply with advertiser demand, using Amazon's first-party signals and machine learning to deliver measurable outcomes at scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and own the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for yield optimization and demand diversification across Prime Video, Twitch, and Fire TV advertising, driving clarity in ambiguous problem spaces from concept through launch and iteration
- Lead outcome optimization products end-to-end that enable advertisers to buy against business results, partnering with applied science and engineering teams to develop ML-driven models, bidding algorithms, and targeting capabilities
- Design and execute experimentation strategies to validate new yield approaches, ad formats, and auction mechanisms, using data to make trade-off decisions and iterate quickly
- Build programmatic and self-service capabilities that lower barriers to entry for advertisers of all sizes, expanding the breadth of demand across our video properties
- Drive cross-functional execution with engineering, science, design, sales, and measurement teams to launch and scale features globally, influencing priorities across organizations
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing A/B test results from a new auction mechanism and deciding whether the signal warrants scaling or pivoting. By midday, you could be whiteboarding an ML model architecture with applied scientists or defining requirements for a self-service campaign tool aimed at small business advertisers. In the afternoon, you lead an alignment discussion with partners across ads and video to resolve a prioritization question on your roadmap. Between meetings, you analyze yield curves across inventory types to spot optimization opportunities and draft a vision document for a new product bet you are developing.
