About the Job:

The Manager, IT Platform Services provides technology and people leadership for the engineers responsible for the organization’s core platform services across cloud and on-premise computing environments. Reporting to the Director, IT Infrastructure Services, this role manages the day-to-day operations, reliability, security, lifecycle, and continuous improvement of foundational infrastructure platforms, including storage, data centers, physical and virtual server environments, SQL platforms, email services, infrastructure management tools, and related technologies that support clinical, administrative, and business operations. The Manager ensures these services are stable, resilient, scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational priorities, regulatory requirements, operational performance expectations, and long-term modernization goals. In addition to role-specific responsibilities, the Manager is expected to lead with accountability, operational discipline, and a strong service mindset. This role is responsible for coaching and developing technical staff, translating infrastructure priorities into actionable work, coordinating with peer IT teams, supporting incident response and escalation, and ensuring engineering practices are consistent, documented, and aligned with ITIL-based service management principles. The Manager demonstrates the organization’s mission, values, and standards of behavior while building an inclusive, high-performing team that supports safe, reliable, and high-quality patient care.

What You’ll Do:

- Provide direct leadership, coaching, performance management, and day-to-day direction for a team of infrastructure engineers responsible for enterprise platform services across cloud and on-premise environments
- Ensure the team has clear priorities, defined expectations, appropriate work assignments, and effective escalation paths to support reliable infrastructure operations
- Translate infrastructure strategy, operational needs, and project priorities into actionable engineering work, ensuring alignment with the Director, IT Infrastructure Services, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity standards, and business requirements
- Manage enterprise platform services including storage, data centers, physical servers, virtual server environments, cloud infrastructure, SQL platforms, email services, monitoring tools, automation tools, backup platforms, and related infrastructure technologies
- Support the Director in developing and executing platform roadmaps, lifecycle plans, technical standards, and modernization priorities for cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Reflects and reinforces the organization’s mission, vision, beliefs, core values, and standards of behavior across multiple teams and leaders
- Portfolio level operational stability and resilience, ensuring systems that support patient care meet reliability, security, and availability expectations
- Supporting transparency, feedback loops, and learning at the organizational level

Who You Are:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of progressive technical experience, leadership experience, certifications, and education, Required

Licensure: Infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, database, server, storage, or Microsoft platform certification relevant to assigned responsibilities. ITIL Foundation certification within 6 months of hire.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive IT infrastructure, platform services, systems engineering, cloud, server, storage, virtualization, SQL, email, or data center experience, including at least two (2) years of team lead, supervisory, or people management experience.
