About Argon

The next decade belongs to biology. Bio foundation models are turning experimental guesswork into prediction, and the industry built on that science is set to produce more medicine, faster, than at any point in history.

The bottleneck for bringing these medicines to patients will be everything downstream of the science: clinical & regulatory strategy, portfolio decision making, governance reviews, and launch planning. That work is still done by smart people manually assembling context from a hundred sources, and it moves at the speed of headcount.

Argon builds the AI workforce to support all the tasks that happen downstream of discovery. Our work has touched 100s of drugs across oncology, immunology, cardio, infectious diseases, and more with purpose-built AI for biopharma's commercial and clinical teams, specialized from the data model up.

We're an early-stage YC-backed company founded in 2024, working with top-tier pharma and several of the largest life sciences consultancies. We're a small team with outside output, in-person in NYC, and growing quickly, with 7-figure ARR up 7x year-to-date.

Join us if you want to be productive, move fast, and shape the future.

Why this role

We have strong proof-points of Argon from top-20 pharma companies. Our users leverage the platform on a daily-basis, and we’re seeing massive acceleration in our ability to spin up new workflows and complete work end-to-end.

We’ve achieved growth up to now through word of mouth, a strong product, and founder led sales. The Founding Member, GTM & Partnerships will be the first hire dedicated to turning our early traction and strong proof points into a repeatable growth machine.

Initially this role will require you to roll up your sleeves and lead all aspects of GTM: product marketing, top of funnel growth, and complex deal management. With mastery of the process, you’ll build a playbook to hire and build our commercial team.

We are looking for an industry expert with first-hand experience navigating pharma’s portfolio strategy, CI, Market Research and Insights team, and commercial operations

Concretely, you will spend your time:

- 80% building the commercial function. Hunting net-new partnerships and account growth opportunities and building out the foundation for our next phase of growth. Attending industry events, mapping key accounts, and executing a strategy to bring new deals into the sales funnel and managing them towards a pilot and final close.
- 20% special projects. Working with the team to think through pricing, new product launches, and running growth experiments. Every week might bring up a new challenge and opportunity, and you’re excited to roll up your sleeves and help us win.

This is a founding role. There is no playbook, no established territory, and no one above you who will know this domain better. You'll write the playbook and help to build this function from the ground up.

What you bring

- 6+ years in biopharma and life sciences sales or partnerships.
- Deep working knowledge of pharma's budgets and structure with direct experience navigating deals.
- Experience closing complex multi-stakeholder engagements that span over months.
- Genuine comfort operating without structure. The most common way this role fails is someone excellent who needs a defined process to work inside.
- You already use AI tools in your own work and personal life.
- Clear communicator and organized.

What you’ll be responsible for

- Drive business development efforts including attendance of industry events and leading client conversations for tailored use cases of Argon’s platform.
- Lead deals from first conversation through pilot and enterprise contracts.
- Help shape the sales book and materials and constantly invent new ways of providing value to current and potential partners.

Compensation

Compensation is dependent on experience and fit.

- $170,000 – $250,000 base
- OTE of $350,000+
- Equity: .2% - 1%
