About this role
Overview

Do you come from applied science, data science, machine learning, quantitative analysis, or another analytical field, and want to use AI to change how large-scale infrastructure is run? Our team in Microsoft 365 builds the intelligence behind capacity for the infrastructure that powers Microsoft 365 and Copilot. We forecast demand at massive scale and build AI-driven automation that manages infrastructure at runtime, moving operations from manual processes to systems that observe, reason, and act on their own. Copilot’s growth makes this some of the most fast-moving and consequential work in the company, and we are looking for curious, hands-on people who want to help build it.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

As an applied scientist on this team, you’ll help set technical direction and build AI systems that run in production across the infrastructure behind Microsoft 365 and Copilot.
