Location: San Francisco Bay Area (onsite)
Pay: $190,000–$280,000 + bonus + equity
A venture-backed, commercial-stage medical device company is hiring a staff engineer to own the imaging pipeline behind every clinical result it delivers.
What you'll do
- Own the cloud imaging pipeline: ingestion, registration, segmentation, analysis
- Develop new targeting algorithms and AI methods
- Run and scale the pipeline on AWS with containers and infrastructure as code
- Cut runtime and extend the pipeline to new clinical uses
- Work within medical device design controls, and mentor engineers
What you bring
- 5+ years of software engineering, much of it on imaging or scientific data
- Expert Python and Git
- MRI data (DICOM, NIfTI) and quality control
- Neuroimaging toolkits such as ITK, ANTs, FSL or FreeSurfer
- Strong scientific computing and statistics, and ML taken to production
- MS in CS, engineering, physics or math, or equivalent experience
Nice to have: AWS Batch and GPUs; IEC 62304; deep learning for medical imaging
