Role Overview
As Manager, Performance & Analytics - Procurement Sustainability, you will lead sustainability across indirect procurement categories, including Logistics, Marketing, Facilities Management, IT and other indirect spend areas. Acting as a trusted consultant to Category teams, you will help translate Haleon’s sustainability ambitions into practical category strategies, sourcing requirements, supplier engagement plans and initiatives that deliver measurable progress.
You will also own the performance-management rhythm for Procurement Sustainability, including scorecards, budgets, Annual Business Planning (ABP), forecasts, performance calls and follow-up actions. You will provide clear management information, identify gaps and risks, and support leaders and initiative owners to keep delivery on track.
A further core accountability is coordinating the Sustainability Champions network: keeping champions connected to initiative progress, relevant partners, tools and training; creating opportunities to share good practice; and enabling colleagues across Procurement to mobilise sustainability within their categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Indirect Sustainability Strategy and Consultancy: Lead the sustainability agenda across indirect Procurement categories, including Logistics, Marketing, Facilities Management, IT, Professional Services and other indirect spend areas. Act as a trusted consultant to Category teams, helping them identify priorities, embed sustainability into category strategies and sourcing activity, and develop credible delivery roadmaps.
- Category and Supplier Initiatives: Partner with Category Managers to identify and shape high-impact initiatives, such as lower-carbon logistics, sustainable marketing materials and services, energy and waste improvements in facilities, circular solutions and supplier renewable electricity. Translate ambitions into practical supplier requirements, engagement plans and implementation support.
- Performance Management and Governance: Own the Procurement Sustainability performance-management framework, including scorecards, targets, milestones, initiative tracking and governance. Chair or coordinate regular performance calls, challenge delivery constructively, document actions and escalate material risks or dependencies.
- Planning and Budget Management: Coordinate sustainability inputs to Annual Business Planning (ABP), budgets and forecasts. Maintain visibility of planned investment, cost headwinds, benefits and resource requirements, and support initiative owners in preparing robust assumptions and business cases.
- Data, Scorecards and Reporting: Maintain reliable sustainability scorecards and management information by coordinating data from category teams, suppliers and programme owners. Analyse performance, identify trends and gaps, and provide concise updates for Procurement and Sustainability leadership while supporting internal and external reporting requirements.
- Sustainability Champions Network: Coordinate and energise the Procurement Sustainability Champions network. Maintain a regular communication and engagement cadence, connect champions with initiative progress, subject-matter experts and external partners, curate relevant training and tools, and enable the sharing and replication of good practice.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Capability Building: Build trusted relationships across Procurement, Finance, Sustainability and business functions. Influence without direct authority, clarify accountabilities, facilitate decisions and strengthen category teams’ capability to integrate sustainability into everyday commercial activity.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in procurement sustainability, category management, programme management or a related field, ideally covering indirect spend categories.
- A practical understanding of sustainability opportunities and risks across categories such as Logistics, Marketing, Facilities Management, IT and Professional Services.
- Strong consulting, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic advice, challenge constructively and align stakeholders across functions and regions.
- Strong analytical and performance-management capability, including experience with scorecards, budgets, forecasts, business planning, management reporting and governance routines.
- The ability to convert complex sustainability priorities and data into clear actions, decisions and messages for Category teams and senior leaders.
- Experience coordinating a community or network, developing capability and sustaining engagement through communications, training and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications & Skills:
- University degree or equivalent experience in Sustainability, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in procurement, sustainability, consulting, programme management or performance management. Exposure to indirect categories is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage scorecards, KPIs, budgets, forecasts, ABP inputs, governance meetings and action tracking, with strong attention to data quality and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Scope 3 emissions, sustainable procurement and relevant indirect-category levers. Familiarity with supplier engagement, carbon accounting, renewable energy, circularity or sustainable sourcing is an advantage.
- Experience diagnosing needs, structuring work, facilitating stakeholders and supporting global or cross-functional projects from concept through delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate organisational complexity, collaborate across teams, influence without authority and manage escalations and business impacts.
- Ability to coordinate and motivate a distributed community, maintain an effective engagement cadence and connect colleagues with experts, partners, training and practical tools.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in fluent English, with the ability to communicate clearly with both specialists and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector or another complex global organisation is preferred.
