## About the Job
We are looking for a Quality Analyst to join our team at Hitachi Energy. The role involves developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the functionality, reliability, and quality of digital products and applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in test planning, test case design, manual and UI testing, API testing, defect management, and Agile methodologies, along with an understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and software quality standards.
## What You'll Do

- Develop and maintain testing strategies to ensure the quality of digital products and applications.
- Collaborate closely with software developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and design test cases that meet product specifications.
- Develop, review, and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Execute test cases, validate application functionality, and ensure expected results are achieved.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing across applications.
- Conduct UI testing for web applications and validate user interface functionality.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and REST Assured.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
- Analyze test failures, investigate root causes, and report defects with clear and sufficient findings.
- Communicate testing progress, defect status, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve test coverage, testing processes, and test execution efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
- Contribute to release activities and provide support during and after production releases.
- Conduct testing across multiple environments, including QA, Staging, UAT, and Production.
- Support and mentor new team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary Agile team.
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Understand and follow version control practices and branching strategies.
- Adhere to design standards, coding standards, code quality checks, and review processes.
- Support test automation initiatives and identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency.

What We Seek In You

- B.E./B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Experience in writing test plans and designing and executing test cases for web applications.
- Hands-on experience in UI testing and web application testing.
- Experience in Cypress & Javascript
- Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
- Strong knowledge of test case design, test case management, and test execution.
- Experience in conducting test case reviews and ensuring adequate test coverage.
- Strong understanding of functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Experience in defect identification, reporting, tracking, and verification.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis for testing failures.
- Knowledge of test automation concepts and frameworks is an advantage.
- Exposure to performance testing and security testing is preferred.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes.
- Familiarity with version control systems and branching strategies.
- Ability to work independently with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
- Strong ownership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Interest in digitalization, digital twins, and automation of engineering workflows and processes.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile teams and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
