About this role

Shine is the financial copilot for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Founded by serial entrepreneurs Rico Andersen and Martin Hegelund, Shine is a leading European fintech unicorn on a mission to restore the joy of running a business, by ending wasted time on financial admin. Shine offers a connected solution for invoicing, accounting, payroll, business accounts, payments, and financing, meaning business owners can focus their energy on growing a healthy business, not held back by manual admin.

Part of something bigger
Today we're part of Cegid, a European leader in cloud software for finance and accounting. Together we're building Europe's leading financial copilot for small businesses and their accountants.
Shine already supports more than 400,000 small businesses. As part of Cegid, we now reach over one million small businesses and 15,000 accountants across Europe.
We're a multicultural team working from France, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands, contributing to a wider European network that spans Spain, Portugal.

Your hiring experience matters
Just as we respect our customers' time, we respect yours. Your experience with Shine and Cegid should feel simple, transparent and genuinely supportive.
If this sounds like somewhere you want to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

The Advisor Spain at Shine

The Advisor Spain area owns the full Spanish CPA scope — the products that Spanish accounting and advisory firms (despachos) run their practice on today, and the path that takes them onto the Shine Advisor platform tomorrow.

The area covers tax and accounting, payroll, the small-business side of the despacho's client base, and the migration of legacy cohorts onto the strategic platform. It is a real business with real revenue, and a demanding professional user base.

The mission is dual. Near term: protect and grow the Spanish base — make Despachos/Diez a credible home for Spanish CPAs through usability and AI-assisted capabilities, and complete the planned product migrations. Longer term: Spain is the third market in the pan-European CPA platform alongside France and Germany, and this area decides what Spain contributes to that platform and what it takes from it.

The area consists of 5 product teams — Tax & Accounting, Payroll, Advisor Tools & Services I, Advisor Tools & Services II and Migrations — each led by a Product Manager working with engineering.

Your role as Product Director, Advisor Spain

As Product Director, Advisor Spain, you own the product direction for the full Spanish CPA scope end-to-end. This is a turnaround-and-build role: you are responsible for stabilising and modernising a product that Spanish despachos depend on every day, while connecting Spain to the European platform being built in parallel.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Own the Advisor Spain product strategy and roadmap end-to-end — sequence what gets built when across tax & accounting, payroll, small business and migrations, balancing near-term retention with the long-term platform bets.
- Land the migrations without losing customers — take ongoing migrations onto the strategic platform, and treat functional fit and handover quality as product problems, not project problems.
- Make Despachos/Diez a product Spanish CPAs trust — lift NPS and usability, hold stability through tax peak season, and close the functional gaps that cost us firms today.
- Lead and develop your product teams — support and challenge your PMs and their teams across the area. Set a high bar for outcome-focused discovery and delivery.
- Drive real discovery with despachos — we validate problems with accountants directly, from shadowing closings and tax campaigns to usage analysis, and build what earns their trust rather than working from a sales backlog.
- Shape our AI strategy in Spain — decide where AI genuinely transforms the work of a Spanish despacho and where the conservatism of the profession demands transparency and control.
- Turn Spanish regulatory change into a lever — Verifactu and e-invoicing reshape what firms and their clients need, and we would rather lead that than comply late.
- Orchestrate across the ecosystem — partner closely with Advisor Global, the Tax & Year-End area, Core Accounting and Shine ERP Spain, and with the Spanish commercial and customer teams, to deliver one coherent experience for CPAs and their clients.
- Track what matters — active despachos and end-clients, revenue and churn, migration completion, and the adoption and efficiency metrics that show accountants are winning back time.

About you

- You have led product teams building complex B2B SaaS products — ideally in accounting, tax, payroll, fintech or adjacent domains.
- You have a solid accounting or bookkeeping domain knowledge and understand double-entry bookkeeping.
- You have a strong understanding of the Spanish accounting and tax space and of how a despacho actually works — the client portfolio, the tax campaigns, the closing and filing obligations, and the software firms run on today.
- You are a product leader — you give your PMs real ownership, set outcome-based goals, and raise the quality of discovery and delivery without becoming the bottleneck.
- You are comfortable turning around an established product with a demanding installed base — you can hold a retention and quality agenda and a modernisation agenda at the same time.
- You are AI-fluent across the board — you use AI tooling in your own workflow, you think critically about where AI changes what accounting software should do, and you can shape product bets where AI is a core capability.
- You hold the tension between serving the Spanish market today and converging on a European platform — and make deliberate trade-offs rather than defaulting to one or the other.
- You are comfortable owning cross-team and cross-area dependencies and sequencing under pressure.
- You communicate with precision — with engineers on system design, with accountants on workflow needs, and with leadership on strategic trade-offs.
- You are fluent in Spanish and English
