As a Sales Associate, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere for customers while maintaining store standards, processing transactions accurately, and supporting inventory control activities. You will work collaboratively with team members to ensure operational excellence and contribute to achieving sales and customer satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting, assisting, and thanking customers throughout their shopping experience.
- Provide personalized product recommendations based on customer needs.
- Promote current products, services, and special offers.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Receiving merchandise, inventory counts, transfers, and product returns.
- Maintain store presentation standards, including merchandising, stocking, cleanliness, and organization.
- Complete required documentation and operational processes accurately and efficiently.
- Follow company policies, safety standards, cash handling procedures, and loss prevention practices.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic math, reading, and writing proficiency.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
Preferred
- At least one year of retail, sales, or customer service experience.
- Previous experience meeting sales or customer service goals.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform routine physical tasks associated with retail operations.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
