Job Purpose:
- The Sleep Technician at DOCS MEDICAL GROUP is responsible for conducting sleep studies and ensuring accurate data collection to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and calibrate equipment required for sleep studies.
- Monitor patients during sleep studies and document observations.
- Analyze and score sleep study results for physician review.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Provide patient education on sleep disorders and study procedures.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited sleep technology program preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sleep lab or related healthcare setting.
- Experience with polysomnography equipment and patient monitoring.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in conducting sleep studies and interpreting results.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
