Location: Aurora, Colorado Pay: $95-$105/hour We are seeking a Senior AI ML Software Engineer with an active TS SCI clearance to support advanced space and defense programs. This role will focus on the development of mission-critical software supporting satellite ground systems, satellite planning and scheduling functions, and next-generation AI and machine learning capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience developing software in secure environments, working with modern cloud and containerized architectures, and applying AI ML technologies to complex mission systems.
### Responsibilities
Lead AI and machine learning architecture and implementation efforts Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software supporting satellite ground systems Develop applications used for satellite planning and scheduling operations Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and technical leaders in an Agile environment Build and maintain applications using Java, Python, and JavaScript Support microservices and cloud-based architectures Work within containerized development environments utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle
### Required Qualifications
Active TS SCI security clearance Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience Experience with agentic AI, multi-agent systems, or other AI ML technologies Strong software development experience using Java, Python, and JavaScript Experience supporting satellite ground systems or satellite planning and scheduling software Experience utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka U.S. Citizenship required

SAFe Agile methodology experience DevSecOps experience CI CD pipeline experience Test automation experience Experience with Spring Boot Experience with Jenkins Experience with Jira and Confluence Experience with JUnit Experience with Eclipse
### Ideal Backgrounds
Candidates coming from aerospace, defense, intelligence, space systems, satellite operations, command and control systems, missile defense, or national security programs are highly desired.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $105.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
