The Opportunity:

The MOCHA PGx 4.0 and Inbound eRX teams support mission-critical capabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs. As the lead SQA Manager, you will establish and execute quality practices across the full software development lifecycle, lead testing teams, and partner with product, engineering, clinical, and program stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, accessible, and maintainable healthcare solutions. The role requires the judgment to balance delivery timelines, technical complexity, patient-care workflows, security, and release risk.

What You’ll Work On:

- Lead and mentor software quality assurance teams supporting federal VA healthcare systems, including assigning work, setting expectations, reviewing results, and developing team capability.
- Define and maintain risk-based test strategies, quality plans, test approaches, entry and exit criteria, coverage objectives, and release-readiness recommendations.
- Lead functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing across applications, interfaces, data, roles, and clinical workflows.
- Coordinate UAT planning and execution with product owners, subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and delivery leadership and ensure findings are documented and resolved or accepted with clear rationale.
- Establish defect management practices, including triage, severity and priority assessment, root-cause discussion, retesting, trend analysis, and closure with objective evidence.
- Validate requirements, acceptance criteria, traceability, test data, and test evidence throughout the SDLC and Agile delivery lifecycle.
- Report test progress, risks, dependencies, coverage, quality trends, open defects, and release readiness to technical and program leadership.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners, clinical stakeholders, and government customers to improve quality early and continuously.
- Coordinate priorities, capacity, dependencies, and deliverables across MOCHA PGx 4.0, Inbound eRX, and shared AMPL PolyPharmacy support as assigned.
