Position: HVAC and Mechanical Engineer

The HVAC / Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and engineering of HVAC systems for cleanroom and controlled environment facilities. The role involves performing design calculations, equipment selection, and environmental control assessments to ensure optimal system performance, compliance, and operational reliability in advanced manufacturing environments

## Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform HVAC and mechanical engineering design calculations, including cooling load, heating load, airflow, pressure drop, duct sizing, and chilled water pipe sizing.
- Develop HVAC system designs and select appropriate equipment to meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Support design cleanroom HVAC systems including temperature, humidity, pressure, airflow, and particulate control requirements.
- Develop AMC (Airborne Molecular Contamination) mitigation strategies and design process exhaust, makeup air, and filtration systems for contamination-sensitive manufacturing environments.
- Conduct tool heat load assessments and evaluate temperature stability requirements for controlled environments.
- Prepare engineering calculations, design documentation, technical reports, and specifications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and system performance verification activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

## Show your expertise

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in HVAC mechanical design engineering, preferably supporting cleanroom, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Experience in HVAC design and engineering, preferably within cleanroom, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with cleanroom design principles, AMC control, process exhaust systems, and temperature/humidity control requirements.
- Experience in HVAC equipment selection, including AHUs, chillers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
