Environmental Toxicologist (China)  – Your future position?

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Toxicologist to join our global Product Safety Sciences team in China. Reporting to the Head of Environmental Safety Sciences, you will conduct independently environmental hazard and risk assessments for fragrance and cosmetic ingredients. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Asia, Europe, and North America to support regulatory submissions, ensure compliance with global environmental requirements, and enable the safe development of innovative new fragrance and cosmetic ingredients and Delivery Systems.

In this role you will:

- Conduct independently environmental hazard and risk assessments for fragrance and cosmetic ingredients and Delivery Systems in accordance with global regulations.
- Evaluate ecotoxicology and environmental fate data to support product safety and regulatory decisions.
- Support commercialization of new Fragrance, Active Beauty and Delivery Systems technologies through timely registrations and approvals
- Manage external environmental studies and review data quality in accordance with OECD and GLP requirements.
- Prepare environmental risk assessments, regulatory dossiers, and technical documentation for China, APAC, and Europe.
- Monitor regulatory developments and represent the company in scientific and industry forums.

Your professional profile includes:

- University Degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Environmental Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of industry experience in environmental toxicology, environmental risk assessment, product safety, regulatory affairs, or related disciplines.
- Strong expertise of environmental risk assessment and chemical regulatory frameworks, particularly in China/APAC.
- Experience with environmental hazard classification, chemical registration, and preparation of regulatory dossiers.
- Knowledge of ecotoxicology, environmental fate, bioaccumulation, persistence, and exposure assessment.
- Familiarity with OECD test guidelines, GLP, and environmental data interpretation.
- Experience with New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and/or endocrine disruption assessment is an advantage.
