Your impact

As a Solutions Consultant in the OpenText Presales organisation, you will combine technical curiosity, customer focus and communication skills to support the technical success of sales opportunities across Germany.

You will help customers transform how they deliver and manage digital services. By connecting Service Management with trusted configuration data and automated discovery, you will demonstrate how OpenText enables organisations to improve service experience, increase operational visibility and make faster, better-informed decisions. Your contribution will help customers turn these capabilities into tangible business value and give them confidence in choosing OpenText.

Working alongside experienced Solutions Consultants, Account Executives and specialists, you will contribute to discovery sessions, solution presentations, product demonstrations, proofs of value and responses to technical requirements. As your expertise grows, you will take increasing ownership of defined presales activities and customer engagements.

What the role offers

- A customer-facing role within the OpenText Observability & Service Management portfolio, focused on Service Management, Configuration Management and Universal Discovery.

- Exposure to the complete presales cycle, from understanding customer needs and developing solution concepts to demonstrations, workshops, proposals and RFP responses.

- The opportunity to build expertise in IT Service Management, Enterprise Service Management, CMDB, automated discovery and service modelling.

- Close collaboration with experienced Solutions Consultants, sales teams, product specialists, professional services and technology partners.

- Structured development of your technical, consultative and commercial skills, with clear growth potential towards senior consulting, solution architecture and technical leadership roles.

- Experience across a broad range of customers, industries and IT environments throughout Germany.

- A collaborative, international environment in which you can learn, contribute and progressively take greater ownership of customer engagements.

What you need to succeed

- Initial relevant professional experience, typically around one year, in presales, IT consulting, technical sales, solution engineering, software implementation or a comparable customer-facing technology role. Relevant internships, working-student roles and substantial university projects may also be considered.

- A foundational understanding of enterprise IT environments and a strong interest in IT Service Management, CMDB, automated discovery and enterprise software.

- Familiarity with ITIL practices, service management processes or configuration management concepts is desirable. ITIL 4 Foundation certification would be an advantage.

- The ability to work independently on established assignments while seeking guidance when approaching new or complex topics.

- Curiosity, initiative and a strong willingness to learn and continuously develop your technical and commercial capabilities.

- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
